The Puretone Music
Micro Monitor Classic 2 with dual balanced armature
drivers (for separate bass and treble frequencies,
with passive crossover circuitry) achieves
an acoustic separation of 20dB AVG. Like
the standard Micro Monitor Classic 1, the Micro
Monitor Classic 2 is custom-made,
offering the utmost comfort and attenuation.
These monitors are also provided with a
soft ear canal projection, for added wearing
comfort over long durations.
The
Micro Monitor Classic 2 offers approx. 25dB of ambient
noise reduction.

Ambient Duct -
Puretone Micro Monitors are available
with an ambient duct option to allow outside
noise to be heard in addition to the music
mix. A filter is placed into the earpiece
that limits incoming noise to 85dB, therefore
still providing effective noise reduction.
The ambient duct feature is mainly aimed
at professional musicians who have never
used in-ear monitors, and helps to smooth
the transition from traditional stage monitors.
Once the user becomes comfortable using
in-ear monitors, this duct can be sealed,
returning the standard noise reduction of
the monitor. In our experience, this option
is only used by a very small number of our
users.
